Recent news:

-On the 10th March, binglybongly did a chillout room at the Synergy Project at seOne in London Bridge. More details will be posted soon.

Here's a review of the one before that...

Mr Bongly did some live percussion at Kalahari at the Mass in Brixton, on Friday 24th February as part of a benefit gig for the Kalahari Bushmen's legal struggle to retain their ancestral lands.

On Sunday 26th February there was a binglybongly music set at the mellout, near Ladbroke Grove. A relaxed and incredibly friendly event in an environment which encourages you to bring your kids along, and a rich and diverse creative lineup ranging from performances to singer songwriters, live bands and DJs.

The Inn on the Green
3 Thorpe Close, London W10.
Nearest Tube is Ladbroke Grove.

"the good, the bad, and the bongly" at the Foundry on Friday 23 July 2004:

-It's a bar, venue, gallery and theatre where you can expect performance art, situational theatre, djs, poetry, ritual and, apparently, explosions - all within the confines of a former bank and its high density concrete vaults. By the sound of things, whereas these vaults were initially designed to stop people getting in, they're now probably there to stop some of the present occupants getting out ;-)

There could be an enigmatic pianist tinkling tunelessly on a baby grand to no-one in particular or there could be binglybongly audio alchemists conjuring up a swirling fusion of funky beats and visuals - all within the intriguing setting of the Foundry (some
pictures here).

There's an outside bit with tables and chairs where you could either tan your bits or or rue the fact that you forgot your scarf to the binglybongly beat.

-   It's not only free to get in, but it's not too expensive to get out again ;-). From 7pm till 11pm (Over 18s only)

The Foundry   86 Great Eastern Street   London EC2A 3JL
Tube: Old Street (exit3)

The first deep down & bongly at seOne:

Here's the "bubblejam" review of "deep down & bongly", our first all-nighter, which took place at seOne on 31st October

Also, a few words on the subject from our own correspondent...
Briefly.....My arrival @ binglybongly's Big One @ Deep Blue, seOne coincided with the appearance of DJ Wayne's Funky House with a touch of the Old Skool.

He slowly brought the up-for-it stylish crowd to boiling point and then made way for the highly animated Lord Antnee, virtually levitating behind the decks -the music was high, ya can't get over it, so low, ya can't get under it..! (Apologies to the Temptations, Psychedelic Shack, nineteen-sixty..ummm... Whadda ya mean it's an old tune!).

DJ Antnee had the most bangin' tunes of the nite, dropping in bad basslines whenever, whatever! In fact Antnee has earned a new name: Mr Scratch! It was down to me for the graveyard shift thru til' six. Antnee finally mellowed the beats 'n BPMs to 128 allowing me to kick-off with a Cosmos (Tom Middleton) tune. He led the chorus on Green Velvet's La La Land - mental, really!

Don't forget the pretty palace created by the bb krew, twelve hours in the making....sooo koool

It would be really great if the crowd were real ravers and stayed to the death, jus like you an' me, n'est pas!

Luv 2y'all

John (aka Dj Deep John)

On Sunday the 21st September 2003 we presented "binglybongly music" at The Spitz...
It was also the
United Nations International Day of Peace - a day of global ceasefire and non-violence.

The perfect soundtrack for your Sunday.

Incidentally, if you know of any events or venues that could do with some binglybongly magic, please
get in touch. The best ideas could win you a - fabulous prize!

On Saturday 21st June, the binglybongly bunch, along with Music Together Foundation, presented a free festival in Shoreditch Church and gardens in East London. See here for more.

We recently had a break in at binglybongly mansions and the unsavoury characters got away with a couple of laptops, a UV lamp and all our binglybongly banners - in effect, a complete binglybongly DJ kit!

It's all very intriguing. I suppose you could say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. So keep an eye out for anybody setting up shop as the bonglybingly agency somewhere soon and let us know! ta.

"upbeat & bongly" on Thursday 3rd of July was our last. This has come about due to changes at the Elbow Room. We would like to thank everyone there for their enthusiasm and help, and I'm sure we'll be seeing you all again soon. In the meantime we're lining up new venues for the autumn - watch this space!

"
binglybongly rhythms" took place at The Spitz on Sunday the 20th July 2003 ( the last one before we had a summer break ):

On 19th January 2003 we presented "rhythmic synergy" at the Spitz:

Rhythmic Synergy was another dancing evening to die for. The delightful derrieres of our gorgeous crowd wiggled wonderfully and smiles spread all around.

Fluff, Fang, Vix and the Cercle de DJs spun some hot tunes and the night was rounded off by a live drumming set, sending all away into a happy Sunday evening.

We hope you made some new friends and caught up with some old ones, let's keep the vibe on the up and blast some aural antidotes out to any one who happens to be down.

Magical surroundings were by
fabricate, hypnotic visuals and images were by VJ Stickman, igloo and binglybongly, live percussion and holistic massage happened as well.

It was a magical place filled with happy, smiling people, wearing strange clothing and jiggling uncontrollably. Fluff, Fang, James Wilmott and Vicks were spinning percussive, upbeat tunes to make you grin from ear to there !

Rhythmic synergy that you would've enjoyed...

11.12.02: November’s binglybongly party at the Spitz was, by general acknowledgement de bess eva, the Fang, the Fabs, the Daves, they did us all proud and the place was buzzing. The chorus of "one more!" at the end was evidence of the superb choice of music, lifting the spirits higher than they’ve been for a while, brightening the November gloom. We were very chuffed to be compared to Megatripolis at Heaven by more than a few people.

Glen and Katie kept up the Shiatsu treatments all evening, releasing tension like nobody’s business. We were captivated by Eric Fabricate’s fabulous décor and the live VJ-ing by Jamie Stickman. All who came would probably agree that it gets the week off to a good start to have a bit of bouncing on a Sunday night...

Thanks to everyone who lent a hand to put it up and take it all down again. Photos here...

20.8.02: Phew! The third binglybongly party (18th August) was a hot night in every sense of the word!

"Astral Rhythms" at the Spitz continued the binglybongly spirit.

If you were there and would like to tell us what you thought or would like copies of some of the photos, please send us an email. Thanks again to everyone who helped to make it happen.

24.7.02: The second binglybongly party (21st July) attracted a lovely crowd at the Spitz in Old Spitalfields Market, East London. "A world in your ear" carried on where the last one left off. Lots of familiar faces and plenty of new ones ensured we had a night to remember. Check out the pictures.

If you were there and would like to tell us what you thought or would like copies of some of the photos, please send us an email
. Thanks to everyone who helped to make it happen.

20.6.02: The first binglybongly party went off with a bang on the 16th June at the Spitz in Old Spitalfields Market in East London. We started with "cosmic chemistry" (pictures here) which broke all records for the venue on a Sunday.
