There've been more festivals and carnivals this year than you can shake a rhythm stick at. But there hasn't really been much binglybonglyness at any of them. Until now that is! We're happy to say that we're staging a musical arena at this year's Shoreditch Carnival & Car Free Day on Sunday 19th September 2004. There'll be more details soon, but in the meantime...

...if you're at a loose end on Wednesday evening, come and hook up with us at...

"upbeat & bongly" at Zigfrid on Wednesday 25 August 2004:
-   "This is a Hoxton bar, by Hoxton people, for the benefit of Hoxton people and Hoxton wannabees" says the Evening Standard. Crumbs!

It's the second night of our new residency at this friendly bar which looks out onto Hoxton Square. The first one went really rather well, and the bar was full inside and out. So why not come along and and see what you've been missing. On the other hand you could stay in and watch Olympic curling...

The binglybongly sonic bartenders will mix you up a refreshing cocktail of upbeat summer sounds.

-   It's completely free to get in. From 7pm till 12pm (Over 18s only)

Zigfrid   11 Hoxton Square   London N1 6NU
Tube: Old Street (exit3)

Fancy a bit of a breather from Olympian feats? Or do you want a finely honed physique of twisted steel like an athlete? Well, we can definitely help you with the first one and possibly the second if you do the funky chicken for long enough...

"the good, the bad, and the bongly" at the Foundry on Friday 27 August 2004:
-   Is she or isn't she wearing Harmony hairspray? I don't know, and what has that to do with the Foundry, officer? Well, the Foundry attracts a colourful and friendly mix of bohemians, musicians, curious tourists, artists, anarchists and, of course, binglybongly DJs, who'll be conjuring up a swirling fusion of funky beats and visuals!

There's an outside bit with tables and chairs where you can soak up the sun or make a note of passing car number plates in a little book to satisfy the secret statistical feelings you've recently been harbouring and trying to suppress.

-   It's free to get in. From 7pm till 11pm (Certificate 18)

The Foundry  86 Great Eastern Street  London EC2A 3JL
Tube: Old Street (exit3)

and lastly...
-   Embrace the World

Live once in Paris. Live once in Rio. Live once in Bogota. (It's generally considered wise to do Bogota last.)

(from the Little Book of Complete B*ll*cks by Alistair Beaton.)

-   Don't forget, you can keep up to date at http://www.binglybongly.net.

That's it for now. All the best from everybody at binglybongly mansions.

P.S. If you'd rather not have any more mail from us, please let us know and we'll sort it out.
