Hello,

Welcome to the first binglybongly update of 2004. Glad to be back at work? Thought not. There's a lot of it about, apparently.

We're glad to be back though - for a flying visit - just long enough to mention a couple of things and, crikey, it's exciting! Here's a couple of corking events for you to put in your diary to help you forget about the terrifying combination of weather and work...

"upbeat & bongly" at The Strong Room on Saturday 21st February 2004:
-   We've been invited by those funky people at The Strong Room, Shoreditch, to host a series of binglybongly Saturday nights in their cosy haven.

It's another chance to see and hear some of the binglybongly DJ bunch, who'll be creating an exotic mix of smooth, percussive & upbeat musical jiggery pokery to make you smile from ear to there.

If you like your Saturdays to involve great music, keen bar prices and a friendly crowd, you simply must join us at upbeat & bongly.

-   It's free to get in, and if you've got a binglybongly badge, it's still free. The fun starts at 8pm and carries on till 2.00am

The Strong Room   120-124 Curtain Road   Shoreditch   London EC2
Tubes: Old Street/Liverpool Street

"the good, the bad, and the bongly" at The Foundry on Thursday 26th February 2004:
-  The binglybongly boys and girls try a little musical and visual cross-pollenation.

There could be someone playing a kazoo, there could be a kind of silence that represents the existential vacuum within, or there could just be a swirling fusion of funky beats & breaks/nu jazz and visuals - all wrapped up in the Foundry's unique environment.

Try it, you might like it...

-  It's free to get in, and it's also free to get out again ;-). From 8 till late

The Foundry   86 Great Eastern Street   London EC2
Tube: Old Street (exit3)

-  and finally...

You
You are the most important person in your life. Be as kind to yourself as you are to other people. Give yourself treats: invite yourself out to dinner; send yourself life-affirming e-mails; ask yourself to share a holiday villa in Italy with you; leave love letters for yourself around the house where you can discover them by chance while you're doing the hoovering; ask yourself to come to with you when you start your psychotherapy.

(from the Little Book of Complete B*ll*cks by Alistair Beaton.)

That's it for now. All the best from everybody at binglybongly mansions.

P.S. If you'd rather not have any more mail from us, please let us know and we'll sort it out.
