Happy August !

As you may know, we've been taking a little break during this month, which has given us an opportunity to examine our navel and prepare for a busy Autumn of binglybonglyness.

-   Several ideas for new events are under consideration at the moment. One of them is a full-on Friday or Saturday night in a bigger venue to fulfil a much expressed need to have a longer time in binglybongly land. If you have any thoughts on this then please let us know. Another project is for us to provide the music at a wonderful, intimate location in Shoreditch, probably starting in September. We'll also be continuing our Sunday monthly at the Spitz, beginning again in September. More news as we have it.

-   We're moving our web site to a much faster server which has got lots more whirring things and flashing lights, as they say in technical circles, and thus we'll be able to do more things with it. For example, we've been able to simplify the web site and install a spanking new message board.

You can get in touch with friends you met at binglybongly parties; or share how music has helped you overcome a problem; use it as a platform to speak to like-minded people about potential projects and ideas, find or give the answer to a burning question; find a new flatmate or simply get something off your chest! The possibilities are endless - the message board is for you, so give it a go, you might like it...

-  The sun has got his hat on and August is holiday time for many people. We would love you to send us an email, a postcard or picture of yourself wearing a binglybongly badge (preferably not naked, but then again why not - we'll just cover our eyes when we look at them) from some sunny shore and we can pop it on our web site. Pictures should be sent as jpegs, postcards should be sent as...er...postcards, and a scribble on the back of a £20 note will also do!

-  Have you heard any binglybongly music or seen any binglybongly films on your travels recently? If you have, and you think they might complement a binglybongly party, let us know and we'll try and squeeze them into the binglybongly jigsaw for you to enjoy again.

Finally, we're having to raise the price of our Sunday Spitz parties starting in September (21st) to help reverse the current flow of money out of the binglybongly coffers. It's not to finance a fleet of gold-plated Space Hoppers but to make ends meet so we can continue having binglybongly parties for as long as possible. This will mean £4 entry or £3 entry with a binglybongly badge. It's still free before 5pm, though. We hope you understand the need for this and will continue to give us your much appreciated support.
-  Before we finish, we'd like to leave you with this piece of advice:

Harness the natural synergy of raw vegetables in order to purge your body of toxins. The more raw vegetables you eat in combination, the more powerful will be the purging. Try the potent combination of raw onions, raw beetroots, raw potatoes, raw celeriac, raw leeks, raw parsnips, raw sorrel and raw Chinese artichokes. This combination is particularly effective the night before a major stress-event, such as an exam or interview, since it means you will be too ill to attend it.

(from the Little Book of Complete B*ll*cks by Alistair Beaton.)

-   That's all for now.

If you have any comments about anything in this bulletin, please drop us a line.

All the best from everyone at binglybongly mansions

This bit is about us:

-   binglybongly productions works to help alleviate, through uplifting music, the stresses associated with today's lifestyles. Some music has the ability to alter your mood in a positive way, which can help you to deal with seemingly overwhelming problems. Good music touches everyone, and we want to make it easier for people to hear the interesting and upbeat music we believe can improve the quality of life.

We’d love to hear from you if you have any recommendations of music that inspires you. You can also post ideas and talk with other people on our online forum.

As well as producing top quality upbeat music events and compilations, we are researching the connection between music and well-being and good health. We will be providing this information via the wellbeing section of the web site.

We are covering topics such as how to survive stress at work, coping with exams, relationships, families etc. and we’ll publish advice, tips, articles and interviews that we gather. A library of all published material will be maintained on the site. If you have something to say about how music has helped you in any way, please get in touch.

In the meantime, if you have any questions, comments or would like to get involved we’d love to hear from you. You can reply to this mail or email us at info@binglybongly.net, call us on 020 7739 7661, or visit our web site.
